Ginger Pennington, Ph.D.


Ginger is Head of Psychological Research and Behavioral Economics at Conjecture LLC.

Ginger is Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Psychology and the Harvey Kapnick Center for Business Institutions at Northwestern University. She specializes in the design, execution, and evaluation of research methods in the behavioral sciences. Ginger earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Northwestern University and her B.A., magna cum laude, in Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology from Knox College. Prior to joining the Northwestern faculty, Ginger was Assistant Professor of Marketing Management at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, teaching MBA-level courses in marketing strategy. Ginger’s academic research focuses on human motivation and self-regulation. Her research has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Group Processes and Intergroup Relations, and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
